I Love Furikake and Graphic Design : :
I was born and raised in Southern California and when I was in elementary school, my mom would pack bento lunches for me. This was uncommon in the early 1980's. My friends and other kids thought my sticky rice with sprinkled specks on it looked unusual. The specks were furikake, a seaweed and fish flake seasoning.
I would use my chopsticks with pride and eat the rice with furikake like it was the most flavorful food in the world - to me it was. I got one friend to try it. Then another. They thought it was delicious and even wanted to use my chopsticks.
I like to take this same approach with graphic design. I enjoy using some positive creativity to help make a product, point of sale material, branding or any project look the best it can.
I have 25 years of experience and am still as excited, passionate and dedicated to graphic design as I was in the start of my career. I have been fortunate to work for some amazing businesses and people from a marketing-advertising agency, a product design company, a family-owned winery, and a community bank. The diversity of people and projects is something I truly enjoy.
I've lived in Davis, California for two decades and enjoy the small-town college community. Please take a look at my résumé to read more about my design experience. Feel to reach out to me. I'd be happy to meet you. Let's sprinkle some creativity together.
